The Hungarian people remember the 13 Martyrs of Arad, who fought for the independence and liberty of the Hungarian nation from the Hapsburg Empire. They were executed on October 6, 1849 in the city of Arad. Their heroism, patriotism and service to the Hungarian people and nation will never be forgotten. We will always remember their courage and duty.
