GOLDEN girls!

Hungary won their second kayak gold of the Olympic Games on Wednesday when the women's team took the K4 500m sprint title. (Kovács Katalin, Szabó Gabriella, Kozák Danuta and Fazekas-Zur Krisztina).

Eva Risztov of Hungary won gold in the women's Olympic open water race at Hyde Park. The race was a grueling 10 kilometer race. Risztov touched the finish four-tenths of a second just before an American competitor. The winning time was 1 hour, 57 minutes, 38.2 seconds.

Hungary's Danuta Kozak won gold in the women's K1 500m.

Hungarian women did very well this week on the water in various events. Gold medals were won by Hungarian women in swimming and kayaking. Hungary is very proud of our GOLDEN girls!
