Attacked by "tolerance"

Those that profess to be the most "tolerant" can actually be the most intolerant. This video is a perfect example of this and highlights it very well. The left-wing often professes to be tolerant and open minded, but if your view differs with their own, they can be pretty nasty with you. In the democratic system, we all have the right to our own beliefs and opinions. Not everyone will agree with what other people have to say. Regardless of whether you disagree with someone else, it doesn't give you the right to assault or silence them.

In this YouTube video, you can see members of the American Society for the Defense of Tradition, Family and Property (TFP), being violently assaulted by leftists who disagree with them on the meaning of marriage. The TFP members are simply exercising their democratic rights of freedom of speech, freedom of expression and freedom of assembly. The TFP is a Catholic group that supports traditional marriage between a man and a woman. They see a growing threat to traditional marriage in the United States and simply what to protect it.

The group travels travel around the United States to different university campuses to speak up for and defend traditional marriage. They usually hand out pamphlets and have banners visible at the sides of local streets. They often encounter violent individuals and groups from the left that support homosexual marriage. The people on the left claim to be the most tolerant but are actually the most intolerant, as the video shows. The TFP members do get a lot of support as well but it's only the "tolerant" ones they have to worry about. This video might shock some, but might not surprise others. I think we should all remember Voltaire's quote on the issue of freedom of speech.

"I disagree strongly with what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it."
