The traitors

The puppet communist regime established by the Soviets in Hungary after the the Second World War was made up of dedicated Hungarian communists. These communists are seen as traitors to their own people and country by the vast majority of Hungarians. They are the ones who ordered the state police to open fire on their own countrymen. During the revolution, many of the state police (AVO) that were captured by freedom fighters were executed on the spot.

It is a well-known and documented fact that the state police executed and tortured Hungarians for years during the communist terror of the early 1950s. The state police were so despised that the freedom fighters exacted their revenge on them. You can see many photos in this video showing dead state policemen. The music to this video is by the Hungarian rock band Kárpátia and the song is called "Neveket akarok hallani" (Names I want to hear). The photos at the end of the video show the most despised Hungarian communist leaders.
