Children remember the revolution

Many children today are learning about the Hungarian Revolution of 1956. It is very important that the youth of today know about what the Hungarian people endured over fifty years ago. Currently in Hungary, many schools have now organized in-class presentations given by the survivors and the freedom fighters of the revolution.

This is being done in order to give Hungarian youth a first-hand account of what happened during that turbulent time. Many Hungarian students have only read about the revolution in their text books but don't know the real significance of it. These presentations give the students a real chance to connect to the revolution through one of those who participated.
