The cruise you want to take

This video has some pretty spectacular footage of the night time cruise of the Danube. I haven't been on the night cruise only on a day cruise in the past. It seems that the night cruise is much more spectacular with the city lights. There are several boat companies that give both cruises at both day and night. Make sure that you bring your camera along for the ride. Many people outside of Hungary don't know that the city of Budapest used to be three separate towns.

The city of Budapest was officially created in 1873, when Óbuda, Pest and Buda were united. Since that time, the city has become the political, cultural and commercial heart of the country. Earlier in Hungarian history, other cities and towns were more significant. The city has survived the ravages of war throughout the centuries. The city has seen the invasion of the Mongols, the Ottoman Turks and the Soviets during World War Two. The city was most damaged during WW2 and during the 1956 Revolution. The city of Budapest today, is one of the most beautiful capitals in Europe.
