According to Romania's ethnic Hungarian MEP László Tőkés, there have been 100 anti-Hungarian incidents in Romania in the last two years. A watch service has been set up by ethnic Hungarians in Transylvania to monitor anti-Hungarian incidents and document them. The service wants to call attention to the violations of ethnic Hungarians' rights in Romania. Desecration of Hungarian monuments, insults targeting ethnic Hungarian youth and displays of anti-Hungarian graffiti and slogans have become more common in Romania.
